“I had a great experience where both Devon and the new head tailor worked with me to make alterations on a dress I purchased from a retail store. I very much appreciated how both of them explained the process along the way and how certain techniques can achieve a more elegant look for my style of dress. Everyone at STT is very kind and communicative, which made me feel welcomed. I’ll definitely come back again for future alterations!”
— Samantha Hall“I was welcomed and taken care of immediately! I was able to make an appointment with ease on the website and was accommodated within a week for an event I had planned the following week. Nikola did a phenomenal job!! I will be coming back”
— jeffrey williams“My son’s mom got married not too long ago, and leading into the wedding, she and her fiancé asked me to take the lead on suiting him for the ceremony. They requested he have a tuxedo, one that would be on par with their suiting and dressing for the evening. With crème and forest green colors chosen as the palette for the evening, I knew it would require master tailoring to get it done. I went to Stephen the Tailor and worked with Mr. Chris Smith. I shared my vision with him to do a crème coat with forest green lining and a shawl collar. Mr. Smith helped me select fabrics that were best suited for this winter evening and advised on choices that would give some of the tux life for my son beyond the wedding. After a few weeks of production, we tried the tux on with a perfect fit. I’ve added pics below. With enough runway and some good vision, Chris at Stephen the Tailor can help you bring your idea to life.”
— Deron Hogans“I had a very disappointing experience with this tailor, mainly due to poor service and lack of respect for what I clearly requested. From the beginning, I explained that I wanted my pants to be more tapered. The tailor agreed and also told me that if I didn’t like the result, he would redo them when I picked them up. I paid around $66 for the taper and alterations. When I picked up the pants, the taper was not what I asked for at all. I explained again that I wanted them more tapered, just like I had said from the start. He refused to redo it, even though he had previously said he would fix it if I wasn’t satisfied. Only after insisting did he agree, but then told me he could only redo them if I pay for it. To re-do the pants he charged $100 just to taper the same pants again. I would have been willing to pay again if it were a reasonable amount, but charging nearly double to correct something that wasn’t done right initially is unacceptable. My requests were not taken seriously, and I left feeling like I wasted both my time and money. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place if you care about your input being respected.”
